Obituary of Conda Lee Wallace, 1980:
Wallace, ex-hardware worker dies. Conda Lee Wallace, 70, of State Highway 61, Clinton Rt. 1, died Wednesday morning at his home. He had been in ill health for a year.
He was a retired employee of Clinton Hardware Co., where he worked as a clerk for several years. Wallace was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and enjoyed fox hunting and gardening.
A native of the Clinton area, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Wallace.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Violet Merritt Wallace; three daughters, Mrs. Ronnie (Libby) Briggs of Andersonville, Miss Nancy Wallace and Mrs. Lana Ridenour of Clinton; two sons, Roy Lee Wallace of Knoxville and Kyle Wallace of Cookeville; six grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Lorene Wilkins of Halls.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. J. C. Parrish officiating. Burial will be in Norris Memorial Gardens.
