Obituary of Reba Patterson, 1994:
Reba Patterson, 84 of Oliver Springs died Sunday in Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
A life-long Oliver Springs resident, she was a charter member of Tuppertown Baptist Church. Mrs. Patterson enjoyed playing music, raising flowers and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Tinker and Laura Dotson Tinker; husband, Nickey Patterson; four children, Darlas, Eddie, and Thomas Patterson and Jackie Thomason; three brothers, Bill, Luther and Sanford Tinker; and two sisters, Ruth Idles and Lois Stripling.
Survivors include six children: Ruth Estep of Cincinnati, OH; Pat Patterson and David Patterson, both of Oliver Springs; Wanda Coffey and Johnny Patterson, both of Oak Ridge and Opal Sloan of Harriman; two sisters, Mabel Davis and Evelyn Bolden, both of Oliver Springs; 24 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was Monday in Sharp Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Randolph and the Rev. Bryson Pride officiating. Burial and graveside service was Tuesday in Mineral Springs Cemetery.
