James Clyde Yarber Jr, 64, of Norris Freeway, Norris, died suddenly Tuesday at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
He was born in Anderson County. His father is J. Clyde Yarber Sr., Bland Road, Clinton, and his mother was the late Pearl (Dot) Bland Yarber.Mr. Yarber was an electrician and cable splicer with Allegheny Industrial Electric Company, Inc., in Oak ridge. He was a charter member of Local 270 IBW in Oak Ridge and of the Norris Lions Club.
He had served in the Navy during World War II and was a member of Norris United Methodist Church.
Survivors include daughters, Deborah Yarber and Tamia Yarber, both of Norris; a son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Ann Yarber of Heiskell; grandchildren, Amy Yarber of Heiskell, Rebecca Bateson of Norris; Jimmy Yarber of Heiskell; sisters, Lorene Dew of Norris, Betty Thompson of Clinton; brothers, Charles Yarber of Knoxville; Bobby Joe Yarber of Oak Ridge; and Jack Yarber of Kingston.
the family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 pm Thursday at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 8:30. Arrangements for burial were not complete at press time. Memorials may be mad to the Norris United Methodist Church, Norris, TN.
