Vaudie Ozeal Wallace, 83, of Clinton died Monday, April 15, 1996, in the home of her granddaughter, Debbie Silcox.
Mrs. Wallace lived with Silcox for six years. She was a member of Edgemoore Baptist Church, Eastern Star in Oak Ridge and the 39ers Senior Citizens Group.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Derring; husband, Ernest Tate Wallace, Sr.; and brother, Lloyd T. Derring.
Survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Lou and Nolan Parrott of Clinton, Betty Jo and Orville Laurendine of Ten Mile, TN; sons Alfard Tate Wallace of Oak Ridge and Ernest Tate Wallace Jr. of Louisville, TN; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Velma McMillan, Carolyn Hill and Pauline Dyke.
Family received friends 6-8 pm Tuesday, April 16, in Holley-Gamble Funeral Home chapel, Clinton.
Funeral services were 8 pm Tuesday, April 16, in Holley-Gamble Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. John Burleson officiating.
Graveside services were conducted 10:30 am Wednesday, April 17, in McCarty Woodhaven Memory Gardens, Claxton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the 39ers via Edgemoore Baptist Church.
