Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Briceville Pentecostal Church of God for Lillie Mae York, 84, of Briceville. The Rev. Kelly C. Pyle and the Rev. Jeryl Barnette officiated. Burial was at Circle Cemetery. Martin Funeral Home in Lake City was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. York died Sunday at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.
She was the daughter of the late William and Millie Rutherford.
She was of the Pentecostal faith and was an active member of the Briceville Church of God.
She especially enjoyed quilting, gardening and attending church service and functions.
Her husband, Clarence York, preceded her in death. A son, Tommy Lee Harness, and sisters, Rosa Lee Seiber, Lucy Trail and Bertha Daugherty, and a brother, Marshall Rutherford, also died earlier.
Survivors include three sons, Leon Poore of Clinton; Glenn Poore of Briceville, and James (Jimmy) Harness of Lake City; seven daughters, Margie Brown of Briceville; Ann Wilson of Briceville; Rosa Lee Hooks of Lake City; Brenda Bolden of Clinton; Joyce Carroll of Briceville; Mary Faye Nolan of Clinton and Karen Nelson of Andersonville; 42 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
