Obituary of Everette Carden, 2000:
Everette “Duke” Carden, age 79, of Heiskell, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at his residence.
He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Powell and a veteran of the United States Navy having served in World War II.
Survived by: Wife, Dorothy Carden; Daughters, Robin & husband Jeff Vitelli, Tracy & husband Larry Nicely, Kim & husband Ricky Humphrey; Grandchildren, Tara, Joy, Ben & Lori, Tommy & Christy, Daniel & Christy, Nicky, Kelly, Daniel, Jillian, Bradley, Jonathan, and Anna; Great-Grandchildren, Kayla & Andrew; Brother, Bobby Joe Carden & wife Mary Nell; Sister, Margaret Carden.
The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday, March 31, 2006 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral services following in the chapel with Pastor Clarence Sexton officiating.
His burial will be 10:00 AM, Saturday at Norris Memorial Garden.
Pallbearers will be Ben Nicely, Tommy Humphrey, Nicky Humphrey, Daniel Nicely, Daniel Dent, and Kerry Thames.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made to Crown College, P.O. Box 159, Powell, TN. 37849.
Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of all arrangements.
