Kelly Aslinger, 75, of Briceville, died Thursday in Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Born Feb. 2 1920, he was the son of Aaron and Caroline Aslinger. Mr. Aslinger was a member of New Mount Pilot Baptist Church and was a coal miner.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Otis and Houston Aslinger.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Norsia Phillips Aslinger; son, Eddie Aslinger of Peoria, IL, six daughters, Ethel, Cynthia and Melissa Aslinger, all of Briceville, Lorene Bunch of Peoria, IL, Almetis Cox of Caryville and Cindy Guffey of Albany, KY; brothers, Joe and Isaac Aslinger, both of Lake City, sisters, Ellen Jeffers of Clinton and Peggy Wilson of Ohio; grandchildren, Nerisa June, Kelli Grace, Eddi Anthony and Matthew Brian Aslinger, all of Peoria, IL, Beatrice Alice Ann Cox of Caryville, and Danny Darrell Guffey, David Wade Guffey and Robert Dean Guffey, all of Albany, KY; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 2 pm Sunday in Indain Bluff Baptist Church with the Rev. Edwin Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery in Braden Flat community of Briceville.
Family received friends 7-9 pm Saturday in Martin Funeral Home.
Martin Funeral Home, Lake City, is in charge of arrangements.
