Mrs. Foust, grandmother of 46, dies
Mrs. Katie M. Foust, 85, of Strong Hollow Rd., Lake City Rt. 1, died at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday at Brakebill Nursing Home in Knoxville of complications of age.
She was the wife of Carson Foust, who died in 1955. Mrs. Foust was a native of Lake City and daughter of the late Lipscomb and Mary Burris Burton.
She was a member of Island Ford Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include four sons, Earl, Theodore and Edgar Foust of lake City Rt. 1 and Vernie Lee Foust of Powell; five daughters, Mrs. Beulah Farmer of Jacksboro, Rt. 2, Mrs. Willie Carden and Mrs. Gladys Cox of Lake City Rt. 1, Mrs. Helen Wilson of Holland, Ohio and Mrs. Betty Powers of Lake City; 46 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Burton of Combs, Ky.
Funeral services are to be held at 4 p.m. Thursday (today) at Island Ford Baptist Church with the Rev. Junior Foust and the Rev. Richard S. Phillips officiating. Burial is to be in the church cemetery.
