James Thomas (Jake) Andrews, 66, of Lake City, died April 4 in Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
He was born Dec. 15, 1927 in Anderson County to the late Jackson and Nora Cox Andrews.
A member of First Baptist Church, he was retired from the City of Lake City Public Works.
Mr. Andrews enjoyed gardening and working outdoors.
Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Ernestine and Albert Cox; a nephew, Mike Cox and wife Connie of Lake City; a niece, Connie Evans and husband Jimmy of Caryville; great-nephews and nieces, Valerie Evans, Brandy Evans, Brooke Evans, all of Caryville; Tiffany Cox Bannach of Austin, TX and Jason Cox of Lake City; an aunt, Ruby Andrews; special friends, Margie Amos, Kathy Jenkins; special cousin, Mildred Hatmaker, all of Lake City; and many other cousins.
Services will be 8:30 pm Wednesday in Cox Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Hubbs and the Rev. Mitch Walker officiating. Burial will be 11 am Thursday in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-8:30 pm Wednesday.
