Daniel Daugherty, born circa 1787 in South Carolina, married 1) Hannah Ashurst, daughter of John and Emelia Ashurst. She was born circa 1795 and died in 1836. Daniel married 2) Mary West, September 10, 1838. He married 3) Sarah Rogers. Daniel died December 20, 1882. *West Union Association of United Baptists Minutes: “Daniel Daugherty was born in South Carolina in the year 1798; was brought when an infant to Anderson County, Tennessee, on the head of the New River, where he spent his days. He lived with three loving companions in succession; was a member of the Baptist Church about seven years. Died in full hope of the reward of the just, on the 20th day of December 1882.”
