Obituary of Everette C. Trowbridge, 1970:
Trowbridge dies, native of LaFollette. A clerk for the Atomic Energy Commission in Oak Ridge for 16 years, Everette C. Trowbridge, died at 6 a.m. Thursday, March 19, after an illness of three months. Trowbridge, 55, lived in the Dossett community at Clinton Rt. 5.
He was a native of Campbell County, having been born in LaFollette, and had lived in Clinton since 1958. He was an avid sports spectator.
He was the treasurer and one of the organizers of the Marlow Utility District (water).
Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at Moran Baptist Church with the Rev. E. J. Brown and the Rev. Lee Kidwell officiating. Burial was in Anderson Memorial Gardens on Edgemoor Rd.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Beatrice Leach Trowbridge; a son, James of Dossett; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Bolton of Florida, Mrs. Wanda Massengill and Mrs. Shirley Trowbridge, both of Clinton; two grandsons; mother, Mrs. P. G. Trowbridge of LaFollette; seven brothers, George, Virgil and Charlie, all of LaFollette, Leon of Crossville, Condy of Lake City, Clarence of Akron, O. and Kenneth of Monroe, Mich.; five sisters, Mrs. Stella Bradley of LaFollette, Mrs. Mary Greenwood of Jacksboro, Mrs. Christine Elliott and Mrs. Luther Lawson, both of Monroe, Mich. and Mrs. Blanche Edwards of Chattanooga.
