FITCHUE (PETE) MITCHELL

Fitchue (Pete) Mitchell, 55, Clinton, Route 4, Blockhouse Valley Road, died Sunday of a stroke and a heart attack in the Oak Ridge Hospital, where he had been since Saturday afternoon.
He was employed at the Direct Oil Company here, 320 Oak Ridge Turnpike, until he became ill approximately two weeks ago. He was later admitted to the hospital.
Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rachel Hicks Mitchell; a son, Tommy Lowrewy Mitchell, Clinton Route 4; his mother Mrs. Lawyouna Mitchell, Clinton; brothers, Arthur and Herman, Clinton; a sister, Mrs. Marie Thacker, Louisville, Ky.; and one grandson.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Black Oak Baptist Church with the Rev. Bedford Bullock and the Rev. Delbert Payne officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Holley Funeral Home, Clinton, tonight from 7 to 9.
