55th Depot Brigade at Camp Sevier, SC

Most WWI soldiers from Tennessee who were mustered in through the National Guard trained at Camp Sevier, SC, and were part of the 30th Division.

A large number of the Tennessee draftees were assigned to the 82nd Division, which trained at Camp Gordon, GA.

This snapshot, taken in Livingston, TN, shows an effort being made to enlist soldiers through the National Guard.
Their slogan was "go with men you know."
