Wilson County Queries May 2001 - July 2001
I am looking for my gr-grandfather, William BREWINGTON. He was born
in Jackson Co. around 1852. His parents were Gillson BREWINGTON and
Mary/Milly.
He was married twice, the first family I do not know the wifes name
but they had at least three children.This family I believe he raised
in Tn.
His second wife he married around 1880. I do not know her first name
either but her maiden name was Rice. She was born in Ky.
I believe around 1900 they moved to Tn. My grandmother, Laura Ellen
BREWINGTON CRUNK stayed behind when she married.
Her brother, William C. BREWINGTON, (Will), married Emma BREWINGTON,
a cousin, in Wilson Co.Here they lived and raised their family.
I would appreciate anything on my family...My William BREWINGTON has
been a "brick" wall.
Thank you..

Louisa remarried. I do not have his middle initial but some of his
sons were John M. Hill, PY Hill, Wiliam Green Hill, etc. This is my

location of tombstone. He was apparently an Esq per his will. He
lived near Cumberland River when first married two miles west of

location? "He was buried on that place...where he lived". Thanks so
much. PS..I have much on his descendants..one famous writer in the

I am searching for birth records for John W Davis, born in 1829;
Joseph R Davis, also born in 1829; Levi Davis, born in 1831;
and Nancy Davis, born in 1834. I would like any records regarding
them or their parents: Joseph Garrison Davis (born in 1801 in SC) and
Mary Boxley (born in Louisa County, VA in 1798). They were married
in Hall County, GA in 1820. They lived in TN, as best I can tell,
from just before 1829 until late summer 1834. I really have no idea
which county they lived in, but the system made me chose one.
