WILLS, Andrew Woods, lawyer, postmaster; born near Philadelphia, Pa., April 30, 1841; son of William and Elizabeth (Marple) WILLS; father’s occupation, manufacturer and farmer; paternal grandfather Michael WILLS; graduated Norristown, Pa., in 1860; entered the practice of law in early life; President and General Manager Sheffield Coal, Iron & Steel Company, Sheffield, Ala.; Commissioner-General Tennessee Centennial, Nashville, Tenn.; Postmaster Nashville, Tenn., and serving fifth term; married Eleanora WILLAUER, September 15, 1869; member Hermitage Club, Nashville, Tenn.; Republican; served as Lieutenant-Colonel U. S. Volunteers during Civil War; member of Episcopal Church.
