RYALS, William Henry

RYALS, William Henry, minister of the gospel; born Buckingham Co. Va., Nov. 17, 1852; son of William B. and Martha J. (Hudgins) RYALS; educated at Univ. of Lexington (Ky.) and Richmond College, Va.; attended Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, 1882-1883, Union University, Jackson, Tenn., conferred the degree of D. D.; in early life he was a farmer; later taught school; married Annie W. DICKINSON, April 23, 1885; he was pastor in Virginia for a number of years; moved to Kentucky in 1881, serving as pastor in various counties of Kentucky; was called to Trenton, Tenn., where he served as pastor 15 years, later going to Richmond, Ky., and from there to Paris, Tenn.; called to First Baptist church, Corinth, Miss., 1906; then back to Paris, Tenn., in 1907, where he now serves; he is a Mason, being at one time Chaplain of the lodge at Trenton, Tenn.; Democrat.
