PARKER, John  Neil, banker; born Dyer Co., Tenn., March 8, 1859; son of Daniel E. and Robena (Hart) PARKER; father being a farmer and financier; paternal grandparents Daniel E. and Martha (Smith) PARKER, maternal grandparents Gilbert and Mary (Moore) HART; educated in local schools of Dyer Co., Tenn.; graduated from Cumberland University, Lebanon. Tenn., A. B. degree June, 1881; admitted to bar in Tenn. June, 1882; and continued practicing law to 1889; active president of Citizens’ Bank of Dyersburg, Tenn.; married first, Susie BURNEY, Nov. 12, 1885; married second, Olivia ATKINS, Jan. 10, 1906; member of Cumberland Presbyterian church; Democrat; one time Justice of Peace; Representative in Tennessee Legislature from Dyer Co., 1887-8.
