BIGGS, Vincent Atkins, physician; born Weakley County, Tenn., Aug. 1, 1859; English descent; son of Thomas M. and Elizabeth (Brann) BIGGS; paternal grandfather James BIGGS; paternal grandmother Susan (Ross) BIGGS; maternal grandfather Thos. BRANN, who married a Miss KELLEY; received common school education; graduated Vanderbilt University, Medical Department, March 1, 1884; married his first wife, Effie TODD, Nov. 25, 1886; afterwards married Maggie LESUER, July 22, 1903; member Masonic Lodge, (Past Master), Knights and Ladies of Honor; member State Executive Committee 1908-1910; Commissioner of Elections Weakley County 1908-1909; Supervisor of 13th Census 1910; Census Enumerator 5th District Weakley County 1890; Deacon of Baptist Church; Secretary Board of Trustees Hall-Moody Institute, Baptist College; spent all of his life in Weakley County, where he now resides.
