Williard (Nancy Jane “Nannie”) Grave
2015

From a note supplied by Ella Buchanan to Elaine Scott Cantrell. Additional information supplied by Billy Campbell.

Nan Klepper Willard, wife of George Willard, is buried in a fence row. Son is John. Probably in the 1930’s. She is buried between house and barn in a fence row. Supposedly somebody made a coffin and set it on the porch 2-3 weeks before she died. Turn left after Campbell’s Mill, go to the top of the hill, white house on right.”

This recollection is undated. Nancy Jane Klepper Willard was the wife of Joseph C. Willard (married 29 Nov 1926), not George Willard. John D. Willard was their son. Nancy was born about November 1854 and died during the latter 1930’s. No death certificate has been found. Joseph C. Willard died in 1926 and is buried at Monte Vista in Johnson City.
