Additional information

A Washington County, Tennessee deed (92/236 – 1906) that Omika (Omega – Mrs Batson) Leonard signed off on the property, conveying it to the Holston Corp.  It includes mention of the graveyard, although the dimensions vary slightly.  Holston Corp, in turn, conveyed it (137/499) to Hugh Fain Anderson, again mentioning the same graveyard as above.  Hugh had a plat done (1-25), which did not show the graveyard, however, following the deed chain, the graveyard was mentioned later on.  Another Anderson plat (1-147), which subdivided further, does show the southern section.  The measurements appears to have been made more accurate when that survey was done in 1939.   The northern section of the graveyard was excluded from plat 1-147, but shows up in future deeds, hence the two parcels we see today.  It has always showed up as an exception in the deeds, not separate conveyance, per se.
