Eighth District item: Death came last Tuesday night, June 27, to Mrs. J.P. Leach who had been seriously ill for quite sometime. She was a member of the Baptist Church. She leaves to mourn her loss a husband and nine children, besides a number of brothers and sisters. She was laid to rest in a lot near the home on Thursday.

Sarah Elizabeth Miller was the daughter of George W. Miller and his first wife, Sarah S. Loudermilk of Knob Creek Community.

Sarah Elizabeth “Liz” Miller, twin to Rebecca Ann Miller, (6-27-1851 – 6-27-1905) married 1) 6-1-1870 to James Carrier.
