2014

The Dewitt Davis farm was located behind what is now  231 & 233 Old SR 34 in Jonesborough.  The tax parcel is 059-242.00  This location was found using deed research, as well as the Bennett data.  The photo shows the overall parcel.  Exact location of burial ground is unknown, but would probably be up on the hillside, as was the custom.  The property is quite overgrown and the current property owner has not ever seen any markers.  Perhaps if clearing were done in the future, depressions and/or markers could be found.
