Additional information

Notes supplied by Dennis Slagle:

The original Clarks who lived here had 8 children.

Mary E. Young Price [21 Jan 1814 – 3 Feb 1853] was the mother of Joseph W. Price. Wife of J.D. Price.

Joseph Price [19 Jan 1850-25 Oct 1889] killed in sawmill accident.

Jacob Clark [19 Jan 1850 – 25 Oct 1889] shot himself with .22 rifle.

Jessie Clark & Helen Clark died the same day when a grinding stone fell on them.

Although there are no markers it is known that at least three other people are buried here. They are: Joe Price who died in the 1890’s (data provided by grandson Roby Slagle); Aunt Sally Phillips; and Aunt Betty Phillips. Sally and Betty Phillips were sisters of Edith Phillips Clark and are buried in the second row. (This information provided by Luella Clark Adams, one of the eight children).
