JONES, BURKS

Rev. William M. Jones b. 5/5/1801 TN d. 1/22/1867 AR m. Didema Burks abt 1825 TN They had 7 children, the first two being sons, Isaac b. bet. 1825-1826 and Willis Burks b. 8/5/1828 in McMinn Co., TN. On the 1820 Warren Co. Census listed on the same page is a Isaac Jones 26-45 yrs of age and a Willis Burke, 26-45 years of age. Going on the premise that William and Didema named their first 2 sons for his and her fathers, I am trying to determine if indeed these two individuals are the respective fathers of William and Didema Burks Jones. I have found that there is an Isaac Jones listed several times in the Warren Co. Plat Books, as a surveyor or chain holder over the years. Whether this is a relative of my William has not been established. Any information would most appreciated.

DAUGHERTY, BAUBACH

I am researching my wife's family and have received a picture of her great grandparents. There names were BERNARD BAUBACH and LILLIAN DAUGHERTY. The picture was taken at McMinnville, TN in the studios of Webb & Hughes. We are guessing this was taken around 1905 to 1910 but have no way of knowing. It is possible that this was their wedding picture but again not sure. Does anyone have a record of a DAUGHERTY family living in Warren County during that timeframe? Will await a response.
