Trousdale Rites For Mrs. Barnes 

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Jane Barneswidow of James Barnes, were conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Trousdale Church of Christ.  Revs. Geddes Orman and Calvin C. Wigley officiated and burial was in Trousdale cemetery. Mrs. Barnes, 71, died at Medical Clinic Friday evening at 7 o’clock, following an illness of a year.  Born December 3, 1881 in Cannon county, Mrs. Barnes was a daughter of George Espy and Ellen McCuller Espy and she was a member of the Methodist church.  She had made her home in McMinnville for several years. Survivors include eight sons, George W. Earnest, Eara and Raymond Barnes, McMinnville; John Barnes, Murfreesboro, Jess Barnes, Ringgold, Ga., and G. M. (Bill) Barnes, Jasper; Five daughters, Mrs. Dollie Cunningham, Miss Elsie Barnes, Mrs. Hursie Elam and Mrs. Hazel Adcock, McMinnville, and Mrs. Ruby Simmons, Woodbury.  Also two sisters, Mrs. Dollie Mills and Mrs. Julia Mills McMinnville. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
