Victor P. Adair Dies At Hospital

Victor P. Adair, 77, retired railroad employee, died at Faulkner Springs hospital Sunday morning at 10:30 o’clock. He had been admitted to the hospital for treatment of asthma and his death was unexpected.  Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Rock Island Presbyterian Church.  John W. High officiated and burial was in Rock Island cemetery.  A native of Warren county, Mr. Adair was born November 18, 1876.  He was as son of William Adair, native of Ireland, and Sarah E. Baker Adair and he was married to Miss Annie Moffitt who died in 1947.  Mr. Adair, retired for several years, had resided with his sister, Mrs. Simpson Dunlap, for the past five years and was a member of the Presbyterian church.  Besides his sister, he is survived by another sister, Mrs. John M. Rowland, Rowland Station; two half-brothers, John C. and Zubra Adair, and a half-sister, Mrs. Joline Williams, Toledo, Ohio.  Arrangements were by High Funeral Home.
