A. Nuckols. Ishmael Higdon, and brethern James Rush and Lewis Velusat,
who were invited to seats with us; brother Durham write to them;
elders W.B. Gordon, I. Denton, D.M. Morgan, and brethren R. Vick, Joseph
Gist, visit them at Song's Creek meeting house, Barren County, Kentucky,
on the Saturday before the 3rd Sunday in Aug, 1853. One from Barton's
Creek by their messenger, elder James T. Tompkins, who was invited to seats
with us; brother D.M. Morgan write to them; brethren Godwin, J.T.
Tompkins, Durham, Walson Cantrell, and elder Isaac Denton, visit them at
Barton's Creek meeting house,
Wilson County, Tennessee, on the first Saturday in October, 1852. |
UNION MEETINGS--One at Head of Collins' River meeting house, Warren
County, Tennessee, on the 1st Saturday in August, 1853 One at Roaring River meeting house, Overton County, Tenn., on the 2d Saturday in May, 1853 Our next Association to be held with the Church at Bildad meeting house, DeKalb County, Tennessee, on the 4th Saturday in September, 1853. Brethren Byers, W. Cantrell, B. Pack, Flemming and Dodson, with the Moderator and Clerk, appointed a committee to arrange the business for Monday next. Adjourned till nine o'clock, Monday morning. Sabbath Morning 10 o'clock.--The brethren appointed on Saturday, preached the word to a large and well composed congregation, we hope with good effect. Monday Morning 9 o'clock, Sept. 27th, 1852.--Association opened by prayer by elder Nuckols. Roll of Member called--Report of committee called for, read and received and the committee discharged. Corresponding letters called for, read and received. Brethren James Herd, and J.A. Mathena, appointed a Committee of Finance, who report contributions for the resent year $10.25. Ordered that 450 copies of our Minutes be printed--that the Clerk superintend the printing and distribution of the same. Dismissed in order. |
