We never knew you, but we love you[Note: This stone was placed by grandson John Thomas Sparkman, 15 April 2003, after a long and arduous search for Permelia's burial site. Martha Sue Broyles of Sparta was the final step. She knew a Mrs. Carver in Quebeck that knew where Permelia was buried. Mrs. Carver, who had helped Permela's daughter, Avo Sparkman (Mrs. Charles Garrett) Moore, is in her late 90's, but has an excellent memory She had taken Avo there frequently to visit her mother's grave. John Thomas Sparkman traveled from his home in Michigan to Sparta in December 2002. Mrs. Carver directed him to the grave site. Ok, one problem solved, but came another. Mrs. Carver told him that one of the two graves was his Grandma's sister. Which sister? Two were unaccounted for, Frances Ann Hunter Seamons and Jane Hunter Neal. It has been determined that the sister was Jane Hunter Neal.]
