Sand Tarts

1/2 cup butter

1 cup sugar

1 egg

1 3/4 cups flour

2 tsp. baking powder

white of 1 egg

1 tbsp. sugar

1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Cream butter. Add sugar gradually and egg, well beaten. Add flour mixed and sifted with baking powder. Chill. Toss 1.2 mixture on floured board and roll 1/8" thick. Shape with cookie cutter. Brush over with white of egg, sprinkle with cinnamon mixed with sugar. Bake on a buttered sheet in a slow oven.
