I have a friend in Memphis bearing my name. He is the son of Genl James Baukhead of the U S Army, and has located at Memphis to practice his profession. He is a young Gentleman I understand of fine acquirements, and I have deemed it not improper to recommend him to your friendly Consideration. He has a most interesting Family, and is dependent for a support on his own exertions, and if you can be of some service to him in promoting his welfare, you will confer a lasting obligation I have no doubt on him, and which will likewise be sincerely appreciated by
