Vera Sally Walton of Covington died in Baptist Memorial Hospital-Tipton following a lengthy illness. A daughter of Edgar and Ethel Goodrum Lee, she was born in Huntingdon. She was a homemaker and had been a member of the Hebron Home Demonstration Club for more than 50 years. She was also a member of the Hebron Methodist Church. Services were held Monday afternoon in the chapel of Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home Inc. with Rev. John Campbell officiating. Interment was in Munford Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Deward T. Walton, Sr.; one son, Deward T. Walton, Jr.; and one daughter, Ann Sue Thornton, of Covington; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
