Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Miss Bellamy, 26, of 9619 Nevada Place, died Monday, Sept. 25, 2000, at home. She was born in Atlanta, a daughter of Connie Sanders of Boco Raton and the late Charles Allen Bellamy. She had lived in Bristol, where she attended East High School and was a member of Volunteer Baptist Church, before moving to Florida where she had lived for the past 10 years. Surviving, besides her mother, are her stepfather, Lonnie Sanders Sr., of Boco Raton; three brothers, Lonnie Sanders Jr. of Boca Raton, Douglas Sanders of Moreno Valley, CA, and Richard Sanders of Boyton Beach, FL; maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Jane Leonard of Bluff City; and paternal grandmother, Martha L. Bellamy of Bristol. She was preceded in death by paternal grandfather Charles M. Bellamy. BLEVINS, ADA ANNA KINGSPORT -- Ada Anna Blevins, 71, died Monday, Sept. 11, 2000, in Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport. She was born in Gastonia, NC, a daughter of the late Raymond and Ada Visher Hoekstra, and had spent most of her life in Bristol before moving to Kingsport. She was a member of Mountain View United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, Irvin Blevins; two sisters, Jean Brobeck of Johnson City and Grace Moody of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in Oakley-Cook Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Brian Taylor will officiate. Committal services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the graveside in Shelby Hills Cemetery. Pallbearers will be B.W. BOLLING, PATSY LEE SHOCKLEY NORTON -- Patsy Lee Shockley Bolling, 65, died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2000, in Norton Community Hospital. A lifelong resident of Norton, she was a daughter of the late Moyer and Margaret Trent Shockley. She retired from Norton Community Hospital with 20 years of service. Surviving are her husband of 43 years, Marlin Bolling; two daughters, Diane Lovell and Tammy Thompson, both of Norton; two sons, Greg Bolling and Lester Bolling, both of Norton; a brother, Billy Shockley of Norton; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 8 p.m. in Carty Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jim Smith will officiate. Private burial will be Sunday in Laurel Grove Cemetery in Norton. Mrs. Bolling was also preceded in death by a sister, Bessie Sernek of Chicago. BREWER, WILLIAM H. "BILL" William H. "Bill" Brewer, 63, of 17530 Orchid Road, Bristol, VA, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000, in Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born in Washington County, VA, a son of the late Arthur and Dokie Brewer. He had lived most of his life in the Bristol area. He was a retired machinist of Lockheed Aircraft in Marietta, GA, and owner of B&B Remodeling and Construction. He was a member of Heavenly Rest Freewill Baptist Church in Abingdon, where he served as a deacon and choir director. Surviving are his wife, Fay Brewer; three sons, Darrell Brewer, Kenneth Brewer and Roger Brewer, all of Bristol VA; two daughters, Mrs. Frankie (Tammy) Myers of Bristol VA and Mrs. Mark (Patricia) Spears of Abingdon; seven brothers, James Brewer, Frazier Brewer, Jack Brewer and Earl Brewer, all of Bristol VA, Ralph Brewer and Bobby Brewer, both of Abingdon, Paul Brewer of Radford, VA; his stepmother, Nora Brewer of Bristol VA; four grandsons; four granddaughters; a great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. He was born in Clinchco, VA, and had lived in the Bluff City area for the past 22 years before moving to Surfside Beach two years ago. He was of the Baptist faith. BUCKLES, WORLEY E. Worley E. Buckles, 77, of Old Jonesboro Road, Bristol, TN, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2000, in Wellmont Hospice House. A lifelong resident of Sullivan County, he was a son of Homer and Rebecca Henson Buckles. He was a member of Central Holston Christian Church for 72 years, serving many years as an elder and Sunday School teacher. He was employed 37 years at the Old Aircraft Factory (now Strongwell) and worked eight years as manager of NAPA Auto Parts in Abingdon. He served as a flight engineer on B-24 bombers with the 8th Air Force in England during World War II, flying eight missions with the 489th Bomb Group and 27 missions with the 458th Bomb Group. He was a recipient of the air Medal, seven Oak Leaf Clusters and a Certificate of Valor. Mr. Buckles was a charter member and past president of South Holston Ruritan and a graduate of Holston High School. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Catherine Vance Buckles; two sons, Bernard Buckles of Bristol TN and Eddie Buckles of Nashville; two daughters, Estelle Vance of the home and Noreen Cruff of Bristol; two sisters, Fanny Duggan of Greeneville, TN., and Alice Baker of Fort Blackmore, VA; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. CADLE, HERBERT B. Jr. MOUNTAIN CITY, TN-- Herbert B. Cadle Jr., 59, died Thursday, Aug. 31, 2000, in James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Mountain Home, TN. He was a son of the late Herbert B. Cadle Sr. and Bernice K. Shelton Cadle, had lived most of his life in the Bristol area and lived in the Mountain City area for the past three years. He was a former employee of Paul Cook Funeral Home and several other funeral homes in the area. He was also an employee of Craftline Wood Products in Mountain City. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He owned and operated a farm in Greeneville, TN, for 16 years. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Dorothy "Dottie" Winning Singleton; two daughters, Karen "KK" Fraysier and Patti Salyers, both of Gray, TN; a son, William Thomas "Tom" Singleton Jr. of Monroe, WA; a brother, Dewey Singleton of Abingdon; six grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. She was born in Middlesboro, KY, a daughter of Lola Martin of Middlesboro, KY., and had lived in Bristol TN for nine years prior to moving to Kingsport one year ago. She was of the Baptist faith. WILLIAMSON, WILLIAM F. "BILL" William F. "Bill" Williamson, 78, of Bristol TN died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000, at home. He was born in Williamson, WV, a son of the late Luther D. and Hettie Reedy Williamson. He was associated with United Coal Co. from 1970-84 when he retired as senior vice-president. After his retirement, he was a volunteer at Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was a graduate of Grundy High School and the John A. Gupton College of Mortuary Science in Nashville. He was a U.S. Army sergeant of World War II and stationed in Germany, where he served as a surgical technician. Mr. Williamson was a member of the VFW and UCT of Columbus, Ohio, and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge 17 in Grundy. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Bristol Chamber of Commerce, Bristol Boys Club, the Paramount Foundation and Theater Bristol. He was a member of State Street United Methodist Church.
