BAKER, VIRGINIA DAVIS Virginia "Jen" Davis Baker, 87, of Bristol Virginia, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999. She was a resident of Norton before moving to Bristol Virginia in 1933. She was active in Three Springs United Methodist Church, the Home Demonstration Club and, most recently, a member of Windsor Avenue Presbyterian Church. BALDRIDGE, DONALD DOYLE Donald Doyle Baldridge, 61, of 18724 Benhams Road, Bristol, VA, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, at his home. He was a native of Pittsburgh, had lived in Newport News and had lived in the Bristol area for the past 32 years. He was an employee of Enterprise Fabicators and was most recently employed with Permatile. He was of the Baptist faith. BALL,TOLLEY Tolley Ball, 88, of 21483 Gale Ave., Bristol, VA, died Friday, Feb. 26, 1999, in the Greystone Healthcare Center in Blountville. He was a native of Buchanan County and had lived in Richlands most of his life before moving to the Bristol area in 1967. He was a miner, a member of the United Mine Workers of America, and a security guard at Westinghouse. He was a member of Shiloh Freewill Baptist Church. BEAR, TERRY Terry Bear, 43, of 17544 Phillips Road, Bristol, VA, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 1999, at his home. He was a native of Kingsport and had been living in Bristol Virginia since 1983. He was a graduate of Sullivan West High School and was employed with Eastman Chemical Company for five years. BOWLES, JAMES DONALD NARROWS, VA- James Donald "Don" Bowles, 70, of 1002 College St., Narrows, went to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, Feb. 20, 1999. He was born in Narrows on March 25, 1928. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Ida Clark Bowles, and 10 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Josephine Stevens Bowles of the home. Although he had no biological children, he was father to Tommy, Jimmy, Eddie, Buddy and Sissie. He also leaves behind two sisters, Charlotte Surratt of Narrows and Carol Madero of Pearisburg. He will be missed by his nurses, Terressa and Marsha, and a very special friend, Ricky Jones. There will be no visitation or funeral. He was a native of Bristol, had lived a short time in Missouri before moving to Bristol, where he lived most of his life. He was a maintenance electrician with Moores Quality Snacks with seven years of service, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War and a lifetime member of Patton-Crosswhite VFW Post No. 6975 and Military Order of the Coodi. Mr. Cunningham was of the Church of God faith. KASEFANG, ALLENE LEONARD Allene Leonard Kasefang, 95, of Bristol Virginia, died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, in Cambridge House. KAYLOR, GOLDIA HELEN Goldia Helen Kaylor, of Bristol Virginia, died Monday, Feb. 1, 1999, in Wellmont Hospice House. She was a lifelong resident of the Phillips and Bristol Virginia communities. She was a graduate of Radford University and studied at the University of Virginia and William and Mary College. Her career as a teacher in the Virginia School System spanned 45 years. LEE, ALLEN CLAYTON Allen Clayton Lee, 79, of Bristol Virginia, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1999, in Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident of Bristol and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was Past Commander of the American Legion Post No. 145. WYATT, ESTHER BELL O’DELL Esther Bell O'Dell Wyatt, 86, of Bristol Virginia, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, at her home. She was a native of Tom's Creek, VA, had lived most of her life in Bristol and attended North Bristol Baptist Church. She was a long-time employee of H.P. King Company and later taught cosmetology at the William N. Neff Vocational Center in the Washington County, Virginia School System. She retired in June 1977.
