RICHARDS, FRANK B., 86, of Bluff City, TN passed away Saturday, February 14, 2009, at Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Sullivan County, he was a son of the late Samuel Joseph and Lillie Belle Lyons Richards. Mr. Richards owned and operated Richards Service Station for a number of years. He was a member of Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church. His hobby was restoring old cars. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Clara Glover, and a brother, Henry Richards. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Carmen “Peggy” Jenkins Richards, and two sons and daughters-in-law, Frank Edward and Cathy Richards and Jimmy A. and Pam Richards, all of Bluff City. Six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Richards will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, February 16, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jamie Ferguson, the Rev. David Tydings, the Rev. Scott Greene and the Rev. Elbert Nichols officiating. Music will be provided by David and Mia Richards. Graveside services and interment will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 17, in the Chinquapin Grove Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday, will be Frank Richards, Jimmy Richards, David Richards, Andy Richards, Dustin Richards, Brandon Richards, Timmy Smith and Verl Kaylor Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Linville Sams, Robert Lyons, Harmon Glover, William Graybeal, Joe Vance and Joe Lyons. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday.
