Additional Information:

Located in Kingsport, Sullivan County, Tennessee. I have included John George Horn & his wife Catharine Pence in the listing as they came to Sullivan Co., in the early 1800s, and their children are buried here. Information by Mary Ann Ward.

Cemetery history by Mary Ann Ward: “I located this cemetery with some imaginative instructions from a distant cousin who had visited years ago. My mother was a Horne, therefore the research. This cemetery was accessed through a private driveway and yard. It has not been used for years, and there has been no upkeep, so it it heavily overgrown, and the stones that are left are in need of attention. When I saw that your website did not include this cemetery, I thought I would write.

“It is documented that John George Horn and his wife Catharine (nee Pence) came to Sullivan County in the early 1800s. They died in 1859 and 1854 respectively, and are probably buried here. As per all the Horns in the 1850 Sullivan census, and John’s will, there were 7 children: Charles, Sarah, George, Benjamin, Mary (Polly), Pence, John, and Jacob. I assume Jacob was one of the children as he was in the census, but he was not in the will.”

  1. Catherine (Pence) Horn may have been the daughter of George & Sarah (Perkey.Pirkey) Pence. Is there any additional information on her?

    Thanks
