Background:Stophel Cemetery In Front of the Dam

KING CEMETERY # 1 Located off the Shipley Ferry Road on King Ridge. It is just off old stagecoach road & is ½ mile past the Bethel Methodist Church. There is a right of way that is kept cleared to the cemetery. It is enclosed in a chain link fence. Some of the reading are no longer legible, but my family use to clean the cemetery and took the readings many years ago. There are some unmarked graves, one is an unknown man who died in the barn where he had been allowed to spend the night while traveling, and numerous slaves graves & three that may be Indian graves.
