453      will of Thomas H. Saunders:  uncle Albert Brigham; test:  W. F. Marberry, Joseph Elkins, W. A. Thompson; written 19 Dec 1862 in Harrodsburgh, Mercer County, Ky.

453      “Montgomery County, Tenn., June 3rd 1861:  To J. T. Morris, Dear Brother, I take the opportunity to inform you that I am well at present, hoping these few lines may find you all enjoying the same blessing.  We are all getting along very well.  There was a company detached from here this morning and armed, but they had sealed orders and I cannot find out where they were going.  They did not take none of our company with them.  There is about 1000 men here.  I found a good many of my relations and friends here.  Tell Miss Sallie her sweet heart is here.  There is several sick in camp.  Thomas Lisenbee is very sick.  They have taken him to town and I have not heard from him for some time.  I have not been out of the limits of the encampment since I have been here without it was when I was drilling.  You must all come up whenever you can for I don’t know when I can come home.  If you cannot come up you must write, for I would be glad to hear from you all every day.  You wanted to know how I wanted my business fixed:  I want Tune Morris to have my watch and the balance divided between you and Nen.  Give my best respects to all inquiring friends.  You must correct all mistakes.  Yours truly, William Morris
