Anglin Family Gateway

William Andrew "Drury" Anglin married Mary Norrod daughter of Jeremiah, sister of Larkin, niece of Samuel, on Aug 4 1814 in Dover.

From 1872-74 he filed War of 1812 pension applications. In one he said his Captain was Horace Gray, then Thomas Gray. In 1875, he said Andrew and again Thomas Gray. Had he said James Gray, then he may have received his $8 per month.

He was in Texas 1833 and said he fought.

His mother in law had a league of land sold ca 1845.

Samuel Norrod sold Thomas and James Gray 200 acres along the Tennessee in 1812. Possibly Grays landing.

1875 he said he left from Lebanon, TN.

I know they gathered in Nashville. Did Wilson float to Nashville? Then past Dover?
His family was in Lebanon, TN ca 1802. He arrived ca 1807 with his father. His father remarried 1809 and 1820 said he had a son 1805-1810 so the first wife may have made it to Tennessee.
I believe William Andrew Anglin. Irish so I understand the added AngLeen...Like Angling road, creek and pinnacles in AR after his uncle.
