Deed to Crockett's Creek Baptist Church

Given by Isham Sills.

Know all men by those present that I, Isham Sills of Stewart County and State of Tenn. in consideration of the natural love and affection which I have and bear unto my beloved brethern of the Baptist Church on Crockett's Creek and also for diverse and other good causes and consideration me, the said Isham Sills have herunto moving have given, granted and confirmed and by those present do give, grant and confirm unto the said members of the said Baptist Church on Crockett's Creek. All and singular, one piece of parcel of land lying and being in the county and state aforesaid and on Crockett's Creek. To have and to hold and enjoy, all and singular the said land aforesaid unto the said members of the above named Church of Crockett's Creek and their successors forever and certain pieces or parcel of land containing two (2) acres more of less lying and being in the state and county aforesaid and on the east side of the Crockett's Creek and bounded as follows that is- Beginning at a spring on the north east corner of said Sills survey and runing with the run of said spring to the line of Isaih Outland survey thence with said Outland line up the hill to a poplar. Thence along a line of marked trees to a hickory, thence to the beginning including the house lately built for the purpopse of public worship with all the privelege thereunto belonging and to there successors forever. And I, the Isham Sills doth, for myself, my heirs and assignees give all my rights, title and interest to the above mentioned land, to the above mentioned members of the Baptist Church on Crocketts Creek and their successors forever. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal. This the ____ of February 1825.
