Rome Ferry - abt. 1900
This picture is from the Fergusson Files in the TSLA.
This old photograph is marked "Ferry". It is my best guess that it is the
ferry that connected Rome with Dixon Springs and Riddleton. This is one of
a number of scenes photographed by Willard Fergusson who was born and lived
the first part of his life on Bowman's Branch. It appears that the force
used to move the ferry across the water was by pole.
