Ramsey's parents were William Ramsey & Nancy(Martin) Ramsey. C. E. Ramsey
was born Nov. 5th 1876 in Smith Co. Tn.
He made his profession of faith in Christ's at Knight's Chapel, on Funn's
Branch, Smith Co. Tn. Nov. 1890. He was baptized by Elder T.H. Vantrease. He
was ordained by Mt. Vernon Church in Sept. 1900, by Elders Manse Ramsey (his
uncle), T.W. Matthews, J.H.Swann, & other elders. He was pastor of Mt. Vernon
Church,& Russell Hill & Bethany. He married Aretha West Dec. 15th 1895 in Smith
Co. Tn. They are my ggrandparents & Wm is my grandfather. Picture taken circa
