John F. Highers and Son

John was the son of Josiah T. Highers and Ann Belk Highers.
In 1888 John F. married Susan Arrat Hughes in Smith Co., TN.
She was born 1871, the daughter of James and Isafinia Andrews Hughes.
They had six children born in Smith County, TN and one born in Oklahoma:

2. Isaphenia Pearl Highers, b. May 1893
3. George Wesley Highers, b. July 1897
4. Lela Louise Highers, b. 4 July 1898
5. Robert Highers, b. September 1899
6. Ernest Edward Highers, b. 22 September 1901

7. Steve Highers, b. November 7,1907
After Susan's death in 1910, John F. married Sally Williams, and they had
one daughter, Opal Highers. John F. died 28 April, 1948, in Oklahoma.
