Theoplis "Taught" L. Craighead was born in Smith County January 18, 1879 , died November 27, 1947.
Margie Belle Sampson was born in Macon County April 23, 1877 , died June 22, 1948.
Both are buried in Defeated Creek Memorial Gardens.

Theoplis "Taught" L. Craighead and his wife Margie Belle Sampson Craighead, ("Belle" Sampson was daughter
of Thomas Jefferson Sampson and Mary Susan West Sampson) with all 8 of their grown children gathered
around. Picture was taken in November, 1947, just prior to T.L.'s death at his home in the Friendship Hollow.
