Elster M. & Laura Lovelady Knight
Elster McMillen Knight born August 7, 1885, Macon Co. TN, and his wife
Laura Bea Lovelady born ca 1893.Elster, was a son of Joseph Newton "Newt"
Knight b. Dec. 1856, Smith Co.TN and a descendant of John Knight and Martha
Montague, that settled near Defeated in Smith Co. TN. in 1815. Elster's mother
wasRebecca Jenkins b. Oct. 1857, daughter of Jefferson Jenkins and Martha Parkhurst
of Smith Co. and a descendant of William Jenkins that died in Smith Co. TN in 1807.
Laura's parents were John Frame Lovelady and Synthia Elizabeth Carnahan, and I am
unsure of the origin of their birth. Elster moved his family to Harden County, KY.
Most of his children eventually moved to Illinois.

and Laura had two other children after this picture was taken. Bufford born bet 1915-1920
died as an infant, and Mary Katherine Knight b. April 7, 1921, Bowling Green, KY.
