The above three gentleman were related to each other through marriage at one time or another.

WILLIAM H. HALE was the son of Elijah Hale and Frances Haley. His sister was Elizabeth Washington
Hale who married James Allen Wilkerson of Bluff Creek, Smith Co., TN. another sister Mary Ellen
Hale married Walter C. Wilkerson of Bluff Creek. James Allen and Walter C. Wilkerson were brothers
and were the sons of James Monroe Wilkerson and Martha Marion Scurlock Wilkerson. William H. Hale
married three times. His first marriage was to Martha Ann E. Clark, sister of Jonathan Bell Clark. Martha
and Jonathan Clark were the children of Thomas Anderson Clark and Eliza Jane Scurlock who was the sister
of Martha Scurlock Wilkerson. When Martha Clark Hale passed away, William Hale married Patience E.
Carter, daughter of Lovel K. Carter and Sarah Ann Stallings Carter. When Patience E. Carter Hale passed
away, William Hale married Susan Elizabeth Violett. He passed away Sept. 28, 1909 and was buried in the
Violett Cemetery on Lost Creek.
JONATHAN BELL CLARK was born Mar. 30, 1840 on Bluff Creek, Smith Co, TN to Thomas Anderson
and Eliza Jane Scurlock Clark. He married Lurana Jane Ligon of Bluff Creek. Her parents were Thomas
Prowell and Drucilla J. Sampson Ligon. When his wife died in 1904, Jonathan Bell Clark made his home
with his only son, James Thomas Clark who was living at that time on the Chapman Romel Violett farm.
He died there in October of 1905 and was buried in the Clark Cemetery on Dyers Branch, Smith Co.,TN
At one time Jonathan Bell Clark and William Hale were brotherinlaws.
ENOCH FISHER was born January 23, 1830 in Lone Valley, Smith Co., Tn. I believe it is now in Dekalb Co.,
TN at the present time. He married three times. His first marriage was to Mary Caroline Null. His second
marriage was to Sarah Elizabeth Malone, daughter of Yancy A. Malone and Roda Lee Inge Malone. His
third marriage was to Sarah Jane Violett, the daughter of Chapman Romel Violett and Jane Harriet Hazzard
Violett. Enoch and Sarah Jane Violett Fisher had four daughters and one son. Susan Evelyn Fisher, one daughter,
married James Thomas Clark, son of Jonathan Bell Clark. Enoch's second wife Sarah Elizabeth Malone, was
the sister of Monroe J. Malone, Sr. who married Nancy Harriet Violett, sister of Sarah Jane Violett.
