Not listed in Smith County Tennessee cemetery books.
Note: Nannie(Nancie) appears in the 1870 and 1880 Smith Co. Tennessee census as the
daughter of Jackson Pride living in New Middleton area. On Dec 24, 1881 she married
Burnell Lyles (Liles). In the 1910 census she is enumerated as the wife of Scott Manning,
having been married to him for 8 years. There are seven Liles childred living in the
household from the previous marriage. She is living next to Tom Pride which is probably
a brother. In the 1920 & 1930 census she is enumerated as wife of Scott Manning and son
Cecil is in household. Scott Manning is traceable in the census and is shown in 1880 with
his first wife Alice. Further research may show that he is the 8 year old male listed in
the 1860 Slave Census of William Manning. This farm where cemetery is located has been
owned by the Pride family for over 100 years and still owned by the descendants.
