(Note: In the Smith Co. History page 380- "He died of appendicitis.
Robert had carried a broken harrow to Hickman to be repaired. The heavy
harrow had been to much for a 15 year old boy to carry. That night he
realized he was dying so he called each of his sisters to his bedside
so he could tell them bye."
