No marker but burried here:
where Caney Fork River runs into the Cumberland River. This farm is owned by daughter
of West Hughes, Mrs Lyda Green, Old Hickory Tenn.. Graveyard is in bad condition
and has no fence. There are 15 unmarked graves.

Hughes, George Washington Born 20 March, 1843 Died 22 April, 1919.
G.W.Hughes was a Confederate Soldier serving in Co B, 7th Tennessee Infantry.
Also reported to be buried in this cemetery is an unknown Helmontaller child
Listed in Smith County Tennessee Cemeteries - South of the Cumberland River page 195.
Later in his life he operated one of the river ferries at Carthage. His grave is unmarked.
and a baby of Wenton Floyd Green, the last known burial here - dates unknown.
