He is listed on the Tennessee Sequatchie County Death Index.Date of death is 1916 and I believe he is buried in Hoodenpyle?Cemetery. PETER HENRY BROWN/ NC, GA, TN P.H. BROWN was born ca 1822 eitherNorth or South Carolina. He had known brothers Madison (Matt) andLeroy. Peter's mother remarried after his father's death, when Peterwas a young boy,possibly married a man named Cook. Peter wassometimes called "Dr. Brown" as he served as a nurse and hospitalsteward in Confederate Army. He married Lydia JONES, sister of JamesRoland JONES of Walker Co. Ga., married in Coweta Co. Ga. 30 Nov1841. They are in census records of Coweta Co. Ga., Cherokee Co.Ala., Walker Co. Ga. and Sequatchie Co. Tn. after their marriage.Bought "mountain land" in Seq. My ggrandfather Joseph Wilson Anderson married a lady believed to befrom Sequatchie County. They had 4 children Josie, Dora, Luther, andWalter. Apparantly she died at Walter's birth or shortlythereafter.I believe they were living in or around Cannon County. Hewas told to have brought her back to Sequatchie County to bury her,and while away he had left baby(Walter) with neighbors, who stole him and he wasnever found. On the 1870 census for Sequatchie Co. pg 327, line 13, John Robertsis enumerated with wife Mary and children Asline and Washington. Rose Ann Bess is mother to the children. I haven't located thefamily in 1860 so do not know when Rose Ann may have died. TheRoberts family is enumerated near his son John, her brother Eli Bess,Eli's daughter Nancy Rhea, and Isaac Hill who is related to them in aroundabout way.
