Everett B. Haynes

Everett B. Haynes was the third child born to John Haynes, Jr. and Minerva Anderson Quimby.  He was born September 11, 1801 in Sampson County, North Carolina.  He was issued a marriage license on November 15, 1823 to marry Sarah Nance.  They were joined in Holy Matrimony on December 10, 1823 in a ceremony solemnized by Jacob Payne in Rutherford County, Tennessee (see Rutherford County Marriage Records of 1823--Book 1A, Page 71).  From this union came a son, Isaac H. Haynes, born March 24, 1825.  No records have been located on other children.

Everett's second marriage was to Lucinda Dickson on December 24, 1839 in Rutherford County, Tennessee.  She was born July 16, 1802 and died May 18, 1886 in Rutherford County.  She is buried in the Haynes Family Cemetery in Rutherford County.


On the 1850 Census of Rutherford County, the household of Everett and Lucinda Haynes, there is a child Jno. W. Haynes, age. 7.

Everett died April 11, 1885 (or 1886) in Rutherford County, Tennessee and is buried in the Haynes Family Cemetery--3/4 mile due east of Cedar Grove Church on south edge of new section of road--cemetery is overgrown.
